George HW Bush Now Accused of Groping Woman While President

According to the Wall Street Journal two new accounts have emerged of former President George H. W. Bush allegedly groping women.

In October, actress Heather Lind accused Bush, now confined to a wheelchair, of groping her in 2013. Several other similar accounts followed. In response, A Bush spokesman said in a statement, “President Bush has been confined to a wheelchair for roughly five years, so his arm falls on the lower waist of people with whom he takes pictures.

But both new accusations pre-date Bush’s need for a wheelchair. One, an account given to CNN that does not include the name of the alleged victim, claims the incident took place in 1992, when Bush was running for a second term as president. The other, reported by Time magazine, claimed the incident occurred in 2003.”

Her account: “We got closer together for a family photo and it was like ‘Holy crap!’” she said, explaining how Bush touched her buttocks. “It was like a gentle squeeze.”

She states she initially thought “it was probably an accident.” After reading others accounts she thought differently.

“All the focus has been on ‘He’s old.’ OK, but he wasn’t old when it happened to me,” she told CNN. “I’ve been debating what to do about it.”

The other claim is by previously reported Roslyn Corrigan, who was 16 at the time, as saying Bush touched her buttocks at a November 2003 event at The Woodlands, Texas, office of the Central Intelligence Agency.
